Although the Indian constitution guarantees that the disparate set of tribes, ethnicities, and religions are part of the whole Indian nationalism, Indian sovereignty is challenged since the post-colonial establishment of the nation-state by the restive population. To confront these disparate set of security challenges to its territorial integrity and security of the state, the Indian government enacted various legislations which are presumably per the letter and spirit of the Indian constitution and international human rights accord to which India is a signatory, but in practice are more in the spirit of a draconian legislative armour of the state to fight the separatists’ challenges with a hardened approach.
The Parivar proclaims an ideology of “Hindutva”, aimed at ensuring Hinduism’s predominance in Indian society, politics, and culture, which it promotes through tactics that include violence and terror. The Sang Parivar got representation in the political domain through the Bharatiya Janata Party. Since becoming CM of UP, Yogi had been exasperated over the former’s former appeasement of religious and caste minorities. He had enacted numerous programs that collectively can be termed as programs of advocating vigilantism in the state. The manifestation of this relationship is contingent to multiple geographical factors, such as US elections, Pakistan – Taliban relations, Taliban’s relations with Al Qaeda and China’s elevating interest in Afghanistan.
The Supreme Court decision is certainly setting up a norm for such protests when stating that any future protests will now be liable to the Court’s statement and must not take place indefinitely in areas not designated by the state. For the religious minorities set to suffer under the Citizen’s Amendment Act, this sets a devastating precedent. Not only is their citizenship status in jeopardy but also their right to peacefully gather and protest the laws which threaten their continued presence in the country.

The secular parties, along with Hindu nationalists, are equally culprit in the crime of demolishing the Babri Masjid and saving its culprits from punishment. The Babri Masjid has removed the veil from all the faces after the demolition and if one still does not see these faces in their original form, then surely nothing can be done except to cast doubt on their mental condition.
